International Hair Colorist Victoria Hunter renowned for her bold creations and diverse skill set is highly regarded in the industry and named The Blonde Whisperer in many publications.
Growing up in Australia and starting her career in Melbourne, traveling became a vehicle for her to learn more about color and textures; building skills for Asian hair in Hong Kong and being influenced by the fashion scene in London.
Landing in NYC, she became Color Director of Bumble and Bumble and was a key part of education for the hair industry pioneering the hairpainting “Balayage” genre. Victoria’s reputation for risk taking and teaching fearlessness inspired hairdressers all over America, ultimately leading to opening her acclaimed salon with co-owner Larry Raspanti in New York’s West Village in 2009 before moving to Los Angeles.
She and her partner have been at the forefront developing revolutionary clay lighteners with new technology such as Whittemore House Hairpaint and WH Liquid Cashmere.
Over the years Victoria has collaborated with some of the most celebrated image makers of our time, lending her a unique understanding of her craft in creating color for fashion photography. Notable photographers include Steven Meisel, Steven Klein, David Sims, Yuergen Teller, Mario Sorrenti and Craig McDean.
Victoria has worked on many editorial shoots for Italian, French, British and American editions of Vogue, Bazaar, Love, ID, Interview and W.
Victoria’s artistry has helped to create the visions for shows and campaigns of Marc Jacobs, Gucci, Prada, Dior, Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton and Lanvin.
Over the years, her work on celebrities has included Gwyneth Paltrow, Beyoncé, Kendall Jenner, Sienna Miller, Lucy Lui, Kate Bosworth , Diane Krueger, Michelle Monaghan, Naomi Watts, Cara Delvigne, Kaia Gerber, Gigi Hadid , Karlie Kloss, Taylor Swift, Vittoria Serreti Stephanie Seymour and more.
